CHOOSE THE EXPERIENCE THAT FITS YOUR DAY
Self-care mobile apps.
Find your kind of routine.
A self-care app, a virtual pet game and a companion experience can look similar while asking very different things of you. Start with the activity you want, then check what the app actually offers.
Is Little Together a self-care app?
Little Together is an in-development virtual pet game for couples and solo companionship. Its direction may appeal to people exploring self-care apps, but the current public offering does not provide therapy, diagnosis, mood analysis, guided breathing or an AI chat companion.
Three different ways to spend a few minutes
| Approach | A typical activity | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Routine or goal tool | Choose a task, reminder or goal and track progress. | Reminder controls, missed-day rules, exports and paid features. |
| Reflection or journal tool | Write a note or respond to a prompt. | Privacy, deletion, backup and whether writing feels useful to you. |
| Virtual pet companion | Care for a digital animal, play or explore its world. | Care frequency, saving, sharing, motion controls and game costs. |
These are general approaches, not claims that every app includes the same features.
Choose one useful activity
Describe what you want to do in ordinary language: a short check-in after work, a place to write, a reminder to complete a task, or a playful visit with a digital pet. Then look for evidence that the app supports that exact activity. A warm colour palette or a cute character is not enough to establish a benefit or a feature.
Try to separate enjoyable responsibility from a routine that feels demanding. Look at what happens when a day is missed, whether reminders can be reduced, and how easy it is to leave a session. Different people will prefer different levels of structure.
What does a self-care pet app add?
Some apps combine goals or reflection with a pet character. Others focus on a game world and animal-care actions. Finch describes itself as a self-care pet app in its official materials. Little Together’s direction centres a home, a garden, care and intentional memories. These are different briefs rather than interchangeable promises.

Check privacy before sharing anything personal
Read the developer’s privacy policy and the store’s data disclosures. Check what is stored locally, what is uploaded, what can be deleted and whether sharing exposes information to someone else. Account recovery and progress transfer matter when you want to keep a companion for a long time.
Google Play’s Data safety section and Apple’s App Privacy details can help you find developer-provided disclosures. They are a starting point for your own decision, rather than a guarantee about every data practice.
Where Little Together fits
If your preference is a small pet world and playful care, explore solo companionship. If you want something to do with a partner, explore the couples game. Neither path is a claim that the game treats a mental health condition or replaces human or professional support.
The app is not available to download or play publicly yet. See current product facts for availability and the virtual pet overview for the care-loop direction.
